Author Biography

Lorraine D. Cross is a celebrated, full-time faculty member in the College of Education at Florida Atlantic University and the Director of Program and School Initiatives in the Office for Academic and Student Services. Professor Cross has been an educator for more than 30 years and has a vast background in staff development and teacher training.
 
Barbara G. Pullease is an adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University, where she prepares students who are pursuing careers in education and teachers who are participating in the district’s alternative certification programs. Dr. Pullease holds a Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and has 12 years experience as a classroom teacher, 17 years experience as a school administrator, and 4 years experience as a district administrator. 
 
Hope Waldman Targoff is a program coordinator for a Transition to Teaching grant at the Teaching and Leadership Center in Broward County Public Schools, Florida. There she helps to develop and implement programs for alternative certification teaching candidates. Professor Targoff, who is completing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, is also an adjunct instructor for Florida Atlantic University in the Teaching and Learning Department.
