Summary

Professor William Brass has been described as one of the most distinguished demographers since the Reverend Thomas Malthus. Brass was an outstanding teacher and a mentor to many demographers who have gone on to become respected academics in their own right, and the papers collected in this volume reflect his influence in four different fields of demographic science.
